Loving the only God

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]

I love Him because He is pure,
He’s perfectly good, wise and true,
procuring full pardon and grace,
and drawing us, making us new.

He’s awesome and powerful, above
the things that we see, understand.
He rules all the angels that serve,
restraining what devils intend.

So don’t be beguiled by the lies
of those who before Him must fall,
soon bowing to Him who is King
and Sovereign Supreme over all.

And this is the wonderful fact
that He is a welcoming Lord.
a good Shepherd, able and kind,
who shows us the truth by His Word.
