A mind made up

Of strong opinion, you will find
he’ll never change his mind,
your temper he will cheerfully wind
if you attempt it – he’ll be blind
to arguments of every kind,
his thoughts fixed, for he’ll bind
them to a first-formed point opined,
convinced that an idea defined
by he himself can’t ever, and need never be resigned,
and so he’ll smile, and later if he looks behind
and sees through mist that he was wrong,
that does not alter, not one whit his strength of view
that he must never ever change his mind
once formed and stated, sealed and signed.
[IP: things you've changed your mind about. – sorry, I've taken it in the opposite this time, and not personal, though with memories of someone; but put it under IP as inspired by it!]

That IS stubborn!
That IS stubborn!
Could you have defined and realigned to contuinue the strong rhyme? Eg
though sees through mist a wrong defined
his point of view still can't be ever realigned
only with your brilliant springy rhythm instead of my clunkiness :0)
