Circling the hill, half way up,
soft mud track
high above the Herefordshire plain
lumpy hills criss-cross it here and there
and far north the white satellite dishes
at Madley near the Wye
shine out, catch the sun.
Sunlight patches on trees and grass
sharp biting breeze
pheasant feeding containers.
Corvids circle noisily above.

Up through the wood and out on top
views west now and sunset colours tingeing,
sparkly bright cloud edging from hidden sun.,

For the welfare of our health, there can be nothing better than taking a ramble though such beautiful scenery. Your poem said it all for me...breathtaking.

Being a bit nosey, I went and googled Orcop as I had no idea where it is, though the word Herefordshire is a bit of a giveaway. That is indeed a beautiful part of England and your beautiful poem certainly does it justice. 

And another lovely walk ... isn't a walk in the countryside a marvellous thing?!

I had to google Orcop and corvids! It looks lovely. Your poem has the pace of a walk and the feeling of a hilltop and looking to the distance. Hope you are better soon, take care.

Gorgeous, Rhiannon! Am so glad you got out to enjoy the landscape and write another beautiful walking poem. I have such a clear picture in my mind from reading this :0)

Sorry that your operation didn't have the desired effect. You are very brave going for these long walks, and I love reading the poems they inspire! I hope your hospital know what to do now, to help. As Cathering says, you look after yourself
