Don’t touch!
It’s hot!

… Ouch!
I’ve got
a blister.

You were told
to wait ‘til it’s cold.

Bluster.
I must-a
forgot.

No,
you hate
to wait.
So,
you’ve learned
you get burned
if you scorn
to believe
when I warn!

It's so easy to forget when you're in a rush. Funnily enough I took a hot pan out of the oven and got sidetracked, when I came back I just went to pick the pan up with my bare hands, after which I dropped it quickly and it went crashing to the floor, luckily with nothing in it...but boy did it hurt. So your poem was quite appropriate for me.

Thank you, Jenny. Yes, my husband groans when he sees yet another mark where I've touched the oven side. And for children there's always the temptation to test what parent says! Rhiannon

Yes, we are back from our break. It was very long since we'd been away, and it was a very good break, though still can't do as much as I'd like, so glad to do what I can and the delight of being in the country. Rhiannon
