BC:
My life Before I met with Jesus Christ,
Before Conversion to his praise and ways –
ephemeral, elusive happiness,
for emptiness, frustrations filled those days.
And then I heard his words and understood,
I saw his beauty, heard appealing grace.
Amazed, I knew he would accept, forgive
– ran to regenerating warm embrace.
AD:
Now After Death of who I was – my old
self died with him, I have a Helper near;
so After this Deliverance I walk
with him. To all, as King he’ll soon appear.

you want open space
I read some book and they had it different I think they spoke of BCE I think something like that, do you know what it means Rhiannon it confuses me a bit?
Your hymn is very good, beautiful words 'And then I heard his words and understood'. But in my opinion the bold caps are a bit too bold almost looks like blemishes and one awlays wants lots of spacing it just good style it looks good.
See you, all the best! Nolan &&

current era
Ok I see, “Before Current Era”, and “Current/Common Era”. Thank-you Rhiannon it makes good sense. I wondered that it was not perhaps according to the real date of Christ's birth because apparently the church tradition is not quite correct. It does seem to be an unnecessary convention but maybe for historians and those guys you know to get different world events and things in correct relative time context. Such things are very important to these people.
And as a suggestion one could try either just ordinary large caps, or bold ordinary text. Let's not throw out the baby with the bathwater. By the way your BC/AD idea is very good it is all very clever (not that I am praising you, or the pastor).
Have a good week Rhiannon! & Nolan
