It may be too late,
but never too soon,
to say you are sorry,
and get a duty done.

Never too soon
to remember
your promise,
but better late
than never,

Patience learns to wait
so long, so late
but always hoping
it will be sooner
rather than later!

am terrible for this. Right now I should be emptyingthe washing machine. But I read your poem and looked up the origin of the word instead :0) Did you know "cras" means tomorrow in latin?

No, I didn't Di. But I think it's putting off kind things or apologies etc that is most important! Pacing over the mundane is difficult isn't it, but it can spill over into letting go of things until they get out of hand, I suppose. But glad you have interests to  enliven the housework! Rhiannon

Someone told me procrastination is just another word for laziness, and another guy told me he was a genuis but he's allergic to work.

It's easy to feel under pressure to rush around, and get exhausted, and miss other relationship friendship empathy etc, afraid to look lazy. God knows our hearts.

I think I had in mind most putting off uncomfortable  duties and apologies, and also about the hard road of learning patience, and trust.It was also fun to write with using those phrases and the IP challenge.

I often say that I will have one more cup of coffee and then I will start procrastinating.

But procrastination can be a good thing. For example, I love reading people's work on ABCTales but often at a time when perhaps I should be cleaning the house or working in the garden. Is that a problem? I think not.

So I take comort from John Lennon's words ... The time you enjoy wasting, is not wasted time'.  

And I enjoyed reading your poem, Rhiannon, even though the kitchen sink is full of dirty pots and pans.

As I said above, I was particularly thinking of the putting off of doing an uncomfortable duty needed, or of apologising, and that a balance between being lazy and 'seeing the bigger picture' of the need for relaxation, and thoughtfulness and housework is needed. I find my husband has such energy that it makes me feel tired if I see him doing some housework (he has had to do more since my operation), but I have to accept that that is his way, and he likes to get the job over, not a refelection on how I normally go about things, I don't have to try to imitate his way!
