The Queen Praying and Trusting

Though many deeds of kindness done,
we know we sometimes need
to be saved from our recklessness
and our own selfish greed.

God didn’t send a general
or thinker here to live,
he sent a powerful Saviour, who
is able to forgive.

And you the people of this land –
God give me strength, please pray,
and wisdom to serve him and you,
my vows fulfil each day.
