The tiniest motor

In all the trillions of your cells
there are motors nano-size
whose essential constant working
causes wonder and surprise:
they spin around, so squeezing
a molecular group to bind
with a bond that’s very energy-rich
to go to any places which
have energy needs around the cell:
amazing factory functions well!
and when that energy each releases
as the bond is cracked, the resultant pieces
can return to the motor once again:
co-ordinated circles
of chemical activity,
intricate efficiency
integrating productivity,
regulated interaction –
manufacture, fuel consumption:
amazing factory functions well!
about adenosine diphosphate, adenosine triphosphate, and adenosine synthase: the energy supply system of cells [IP:around the theme of wheels and circles]

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
This is fun - and scientific to boot. I really enjoyed reading it.

Very clever and erudite,
Very clever and erudite, Rhiannon, and written with your usual flair but the science is far too advanced for this ignoramus.

Phew! Rhiannon,
Phew! Rhiannon,
this poem is mind blowing and Oh! Those intricate cells have my mind spinning with confusion.
I read this out loud and found it a real treat. One of those poems that could be set to a rap.
I like this.
Jenny.
