Who loves God’s presence?

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
When gone astray, the Christian yearns
to feel again God’s care
– though tough the way, with him close by,
fullness of joy is there.
And so we seek his watching face
and come to him with song,
he makes us glad of his embrace
so warm, secure and strong.
He dwells within each heart of those
who Jesus Christ received.
We lose awhile that comfort if
his Spirit we have grieved.
But those who do not want his rule,
his nearness cannot bear;
they say they disbelieve, but still
his presence shun and fear. Tune: CM
You have made known to me the path of life; you fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Psalm 16:11

doubt and love
Just as the parable of the lost son! Disobedience sin and forgiveness. The last verse is so very true, sadly or a good thing you know, fear can bring you to faith as in the song amazing grace. Yes often people pretend not to believe, to assure themselves, but secretly they doubt and fear and yearn. As you say.
Have a good Sunday Rhiannon! Nolan &
