[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]

Pressured, and troubled by increase of wealth,
restless, and worries affecting their health.
Is it secured, will it be quite enough?
Those who are envious don’t realise – it’s tough!

How can your riches be used to do good?
Pray that your wealth will not choke out God’s Word.
Guidance you’ll need to be generous and share;
future eternal before you – prepare.

Riches uncertain can’t give real security.
Hope in Christ Jesus keeps safe for eternity.
Pride, joy in eyeing your wealth is just vanity.
Pray how to serve and seize each opportunity.

 Thank  you , Tom. You're quoting from Matthew 6:19-21, where Jesus is saying to store up for yourselves treasure in heaven, that is growing in the riches of the fruit of the Spirit growing in our lives, heavenly treasures that last to eterniity, rather than worrying about amassing earlhly wealth.Our heart should be concentrated on heavenly things and desire to go there to be with God one day.

But some of  those who have been allowed to become rich, have done great good with it and lived humble lives, but it is not easy work I think! Much pressure and grace needed! Rhiannon
