The cat and the mice

There was once a family of mice who lived in a mouse house which was a big hole in the wall. There was the father called Brody, the mother called Anne the oldest brother Gary the big sister called Lucy and the youngest brother Connor. It was a bright and sunny day and the humans had gone out for the day and to the mouse’s surprise had left some cheese on the dining room floor the family of mice were so hungry but could not rush and eat the cheese because of the cat called Gizmo he terrorised the mice and made them stay in the mouse house around the clock, but they had to take some risks to eat as such the father, mother and Lucy said that they will retrieve the cheese. While Gary and Connor waited in the mouse house. Gary was the mouse who was most afraid of the cat while Connor was the least frightened by Gizmo. They talked in the mouse house about hungry they were “I could eat a whole cat” joked Connor. “Don’t talk about Gizmo!” snapped Gary. “Don’t snap at me I’m more than a match for him” said Connor “just because you’re scared of him! Doesn’t mean I am!” said Connor Gary found this funny “ha you wouldn’t last five minutes outside the mouse house !” said Gary. “Yeah well” “ha ha ha!” “But” “ha ha ha” “Gizmo” ha ha ha!” Gary would not stop laughing at his brother’s stupidity and when he refused to listen to his brother for the fourth time he was gone he had stepped out of the mouse house! Gary stopped laughing “come back here Connor!” said Gary “If you want me come and get me then” said Connor. Gary was scared to leave the comfort of the mouse house so he said “If you want to be eaten it’s fine by me” and he saw Connor disappear. After a while Gary went to sleep until he heard “Gary! Gary! Help!” it was Connor he was back and panting like crazy “what’s wrong Connor” said Gary “it’s Gizmo he’s got mum ,dad and Lucy into a corner if we don’t get them I think he’ll eat them!” said Connor. Gary peered out of the mouse house and true to what Connor had said Gizmo had Lucy Anne and Brody in a corner Gary for once in his life felt it was time to stop Gizmo once and for all or die trying he told Connor to stay in the mouse house and Gary charged at Gizmo grabbed his tail and took a big bite the cat screamed and knocked Gary out of the way this was it Gizmo was going to finish him when suddenly the dining room door opened and the humans had come back. Mr and Mrs Thomas and their ten year old daughter Debbie. Straight away Debbie picked up Gizmo and took him outside then she came back in without Gizmo and picked up the four mice and put them in a cage the next day Debbie found Connor and the family was all together. Then cage was a better home with unlimited food, water and best of all out of reach of Gizmo life for the family couldn’t have been better it turned our Gary face his fear even though things looked bleak, Connor and Gary apologized to each other and they lived happily ever after
