“Where are you Hull?” Sassy Sally squealed.
A few of her friends call her Sassy.
She acts like she knows everything.
But Hull is a mannerly little girl.
She says her right name, Sally.
Before Hull could answer, she has to … AACHOO!
She does this quite often.
AACHOO!
“HULLABALOO! There goes my sister again.”
That voice belongs to Hull’s brother, Sparky.
His real name is Jim.
But he is a chatterbox.
And so everyone calls him Sparky.
He gave his sister a different name too.
He calls her, Aachoo Hullabaloo.
Her friends call her Hull for short.
But she still often has to Aachoo.
She does not have a cold.
It is something that has to be.
But then funny things seem to happen.
Now watch Muffins, her cat.
AACHOO!
She begins to roll on the floor.
What do you want? Hull asks.
“Meow” the cat answers. “MEOW!”
Cats need breakfast too.
Mother is glad to see such good friends.
And Saturday morning is a fun time.
But first everyone eats pancakes.
Then it is time to wash dishes.
Everyone helps.
Even Sparky, who asks Why me?
ACHOO!
And suddenly Sparky drops a plate.
Kitty runs to hide.
Sassy is laughing.
Mother is not smiling.
Well, not at first.
Time to play outside.
Hullabaloo is first out the door.
A quick AACHOO and Jim rolls down the sidewalk.
Too bad their neighbor Mr. Higgins was walking by.
Now his wig is flying down the street.
His wife is checking her mouth.
Oh my goodness, her teeth are gone.
Yes AACHOO has a very strong current.
Sassy and Jim are tired of waiting.
Come on they call, stop that.
But Aachoo isn’t finished yet.
