All That Is About

When the stars

share their shining

upon me

I am quivering

with delight-

when the deer

smile at me

with a wide look

of innocence

I am grateful

for their presence-

when I canoe

in the shadows of

a lake full

of fish

I am alive

to the natural

beauty that escapes

all over me.
