provides today with
variations of life
timeless emotions
cheerful remembrances
and a willingness to
partner us forward. We tend
to experience very sad
moments
but the human spirit
is resilient --
in spite of rainstorms or
lingering typhoons
from exotic
hideaways
a wealth of rain drumming on
our asphalt floors
floods which strip funds
from overheated economies
and twisters dancing through
little towns in
layers of tearful distress --
yet we overcome.
