The Birthday Girl

Brielle led a group

of 3 & 4 year olds in what

she called a run-run

as they scooted

in a meandering style

to the party table

guarded by two parents

making sure flying

objects did not spoil

this special day.

Her thoughts of all these

goodies moved them

rather quickly

golden locks a-flying-

some tripped on the grass

and rolled around delightfully

their singing and screeching

had a few parents almost

weeping with delicious joy.

During the celebration

grandpa asked – Are you having

a fun party? then lifted her

high in the air. Yes-Yes she said.

So how old are you now?

I’m Free grandpa.

A great big free-year-old.
