In the Butterscotch

of our joy---we seek from
sheltered life

a forfeiture of fear
hopelessness

un-fulfillment and
thieves who wish to unmask
best intentions.

Getting up in the morning
is the first step
following the rules of life secondly
and drawing strength from your
companion along with a
personal faith

definitely a mandatory sentence.
And I strive to arrive in
one piece at the end of this journey
my eye dedicated to the prize.
