understand the way you felt

now I see and read

about others who share the pain

of parents who feel

the blame

for something they did not

understand

and now I think I do-

come visit soon

It's a hard step to return, isn't it? Go on praying. And the Lord knows all that he is thinking at the present time, and all his confusion. When my youngest was young he had Asperghers, and we often both got exasperated and frustrated. Nowadays he remembers so much, and that he had understood my desire to help even when I got it wrong. Yes Rhiannon, our children are so precious. This poem was with a sheaf of many from the past which did not get published, nor posted. It was in honour of our son, Scott, now deceased Jan 6, 2020 from pulmonary failure. I wrote this poem after he simply took off when he was about 25. And we waited 17 years before he contacted us. Our shower of prayers protected him.
