God, why do you do so much for me?

Because I want to.

God, it’s hard for me to understand things.

That is why I provide you with insight.

Yes…but…

No buts. Simply put, follow your heart.

After all I gave you a conscience.

Life has been a struggle.

Yet, with encouragement you have overcome.

Thank you for carrying me when I fell.

My job is to protect you.

God, thank you for everything.

You’re welcome.

I love you, God.

Me too.

Thank you R. i found this poem with a pile of older work, and it was written in 2013. I checked to see if it had been posted to ABC but could not find it, so here we are and thank you for enjoying it.
