Are you not friendly? I ask
since you rush around shaking trees
as lollipops in the hands of a child
eager to please mom who took
her son to the Playgrounds.
Why are you bringing such coolness to
this quiet place in the forest while
the sun above is so shiny and bright?
I ask again.
Why are you too calm when that
same sun breathes fire on me
and I struggle for a stream seeking
to quench my throat?
I ask once more.
Finally a movement directs itself
at me and I sense a voice
that asks, “Why must you torment me
with all these questions?
