Day Before Yesterday

I am loved.

Yesterday, assurances
friends visiting
they assuage my feelings
and give me worth

the day before, chaos
interrupting gracious living
mistakes overcome
a pestering

the day before, I awoke
to memory and a lacking,
life a challenge

and the first day before, am
I of substance?
