TV messages a tongue of reality,
conveys hurtful moments. Analyzing
taking place until the media
decides your maximum patience.
An item catches my attention
where South of Timbuktu a Dogon
man sits on weathered rocks, awaits
celebrations to begin, Mask Dance
a prayer of protection for
vengeance from killed animals.
My coffee aromatic, taste
quickening my lips. From a soft sofa
I glance at surrounding comforts,
bowl of grapes a treat;
advertising easily propelling
me away from the world that man
must survive in.
