Does it Really Matter

if three sisters looked
up to an older sibling as they
grew into the protein of life
or to a younger brother with antics
delighting the wrong crowd
and who learned how to wring
goodness from the first born
and to the memory of a mom and dad
who tried so hard to excite
their children in the avenues of life?
Taking turns to lead with faults
not leaving the best
of impressions at the time
with human failings
short term solutions
even flawed reasoning
given through love
sometimes desperation.
Did all this turmoil provide
learning and guidance
in living an enriched life
where memories and forgiveness
prevailed?
Yes, and Yes.
