calm on the pond
knowing a great leader
has passed this way
fallen asleep under
an umbrella of sweet dreams.
Cradled within the beauty
of circumstances –
a tragedy
wings crinkled
flapping like saran wrap
caressing a whisper
of wind –
trees aside the shoreline
a garland of memory.
