This Earth
Sounds are creepy, arising
in a quickening rush
as echoes
within this valley
where an ancient river
carves at the soil. Climbing down
the ravine
we see an inner beauty
where wilderness deer hooves
hesitate at foreign sounds.
Pushing forward, bold steps peer
from a curtain of mist, a
place of respite, time to relax
and absorb
whispers from this land.
