pylons linger proudly
past ankle’s depth
as Huron waters shyly
return
sun’s piercing farewell
is a
flashlight beam
radiating from afar
thinly edged
at horizon’s dip
…it’s done
this day is now
remembrance
as
evening shadows sag
and the quiet
is truly
stillness
