The sun warms
leaves grappling with
whispers
of movement
filtered through thin willows
& I lay on the grass
contemplating
whether I should mulch it.
Now a gentle wind
teases those leafy rims
into curly edges. Remnants
from Autumn’s end-journey
coloured images upon the lawn
not yet should the mower
usurp any burp of fallen
beauty dotted across the yard.

Those simple things around us, Yes fascinating! You've said it all, but do you really think of "mulching the grass"? & Nolan

A pensive poem of resolving what needs to be done with those creative autumn fallen leaves.
I like how you thought about it before taking action.
