Like a Fire

out of control --
it flooded against the land
a giant water spout
bringing fear and strife
at its command -- proud of
number 4
designated by man

thrusting at barrier walls
in an attempt to still
angry waters --
a typhoon
now pouring into streets

unleashing itself
with a fervour
to destroy
taunting structures
before returning
to an ocean of living.
