Fury on the Crests

of Northumberland Strait-

the Atlantic ocean rages  

with pelting wind

and frothing against 

a lobster boat’s

hull newly painted

sending it into a spin

calling on fog

or smog to protect

its watery space

not unheard of

this January time of year

now rolling forward

as robotic soldiers in tumbling

formation

to the shores of Cape Spear-

journey’s end today.
