He Who is Sent

across the baked soil

sandals worn to protect

One so fine.

Some called Him

John the Baptist. Others

dared to believe He

was the Messiah come

to save their

souls. The Father

was of He who came to

earth to bring

love and forgiveness.

The Father sent

Him on this special

mission knew

Him as Jesus and proud

to call Him SON.
