Salient on evening’s scene
twilight does not curl like a snake,
it resonates in parallels
two directional streams
in layers --- colour coming
and going
in the midst of degrees
from plus to minus Centigrade.
A tall tree with curlicue
twisting can provide a handy
grip to take in the scene
and with need for an iron grip;
some dare to take the risk.
From afar we feel stiffness
in our joints, snowshoes drifting
apart in journey’s return
and we thrill at the chance
of being home again.

for all the reasons -
I liked all your poem today. Very sharp images, neatly tied off, and great vocabulary.
maisie Guess what? I'm still alive!
