Where trees imitate
art dressed in strokes
of landscape green
sheer cliffs sheathed
in gray as evening clouds
blur a blue sky
and reflecting waters
prickle diamond-like
aside the highway.
Rocky Mountains ebb
and flow as mist around
our asphalted path
words unable to escape
heralded by the strut
of bighorn sheep.
