November
wind is like a gust
of friendship
stroking river’s
bank sliding earth
into a tumble of
nothing
memory muddy as
a scar on a clean
surface the only sign it
was ever there
reminds me my precious
love so far away
like a memory distant
in the joy of
your lasting smile.
