Just a Few

more days. At least that’s what
the radio announcer said
about this heat wave
broiling us for the past six days with
no end in sight

used to be around 20C summertime
now replaced with scorchers
phew
hot hot hotter at 35C and
upwards---

the woods are dry
streams and rivers not so wide
and our grass getting used to
the colour of orange.

But I’m not shy to say my
love for you continues to grow hot
hot and hotter.
