Today is a slice of lazy wind,
cascading stream in surges
and evening clouds
as shady duck movements
rain sprinkling, a continuous pounce.
Aged rocks trim the shoreline
loons are an eerie calling
between trees, a weave of moonbeams
ripples on lake, canoe ashore
everywhere a union of memory.
