Make Believe (story)

I draw pictures like a story.
A blue sky spreads all
over the paper
and marshmallow clouds
play, like children.
I also draw a calico kitty
with
pretty colors
orange is my favorite.
Puddles of water are
huge like the ocean, nice
and sparkly
like the sun in the sky.
I make a happy face with
red circles for
eyes
and a fat nose-dot in
the middle
now I see behind
the trees,
someone is peeking.
There are many faces. Why
are they hiding?
They should be brave
and visit me.
Are they
shy?
Birds hang on shaky
branches
I draw strong legs so
they don't fall
off.
I put pointy teeth on
sparrows
now
they look like smiling
tooth brushes.
Some birds are huge
like crows
or even ravens
I paint their teeth white
too
and gleaming
but not like the moon
at night.
Green Bay is
splashing with lots and
lots of water
I draw waves higher than
a whole cup of
rain drops
they try to roll and
tumble
all over the beach
and when they do
they go SPLAT, with lots
more SPLATS.
I slide on colors in
my rainbow
right into the cold water
now I’m swimming
In the ocean
I watch stacks of fish with
my
HUGE brown eyes.
My face looks huge like
a mountain
I make it stick out in the
middle
of the ocean
now I am an island
full of
rocks and trees.
My arms are part
of the land
that stretch round and
around
the whole world.
They reach far away to
find pretty flowers
I paint them all different
with nice smells
and lots of happy colors.
The wind likes playing
chase me
so I float like a sea gull
and swoosh
all the way to shore
now my arms
are tired
and I stop for lunch.
First, mommy and daddy
need a happy hug.
I need one too!
