I follow a path with

multi-coloured dots of

Autumn leaves that

remind me of my days

as a youth who once raced

along this memory trail-

 

now I am older and wiser

knowing how

to protect the limbs

of my eager past.

Very familiar "to protect the limbs of my eager past". Time passes so quickly perhaps to have place for the next generation. "Sunrise, sunset, swiftly pass the years".

Thank you, Nolan for your continuous insight. I used to think 30 was old. Now I am 78.5 my new mantra is- the closer I get to 100, the younger I feel. Also, writing my story-poems helps me think younger. All the best in these COVID-19 times. RLP.
