spears morning mist, hovers
over sheep & donkeys
hurls into a northerly wind.
Exhausted wings draw

chirps. Red polls, sparrows, finches
and tattoos from a hairy
woodpecker capture attention
a snack or two presenting
itself. After a short rest, without
fanfare nor nasty intentions,
releases herself to new spaces.
