A New Horizon

We met morning’s light
with sleepy in our eyes-
a movement caught my
attention
as I leaned from my
tent door-
3 AM early past
was a deer on a pause
for an apple treat
during a loud chewing-
now’s another day
to hail life and its joy.

Not an early riser myself Richard wish I was, you miss out out on so much for me it's just me and Mr Tambourine man.
