A Plan of Man

I inhabit a land

where riches aren’t

always right --

and the reward

of selling reduces

our many farms

trading country folk

for business suits

and high-power deals.

What will happen

if the forests

are Cat-ravaged

by those deciding

tall trees must

fade for new houses

turning scenery

into subdivisions

and more sales?

Where am I to go

when all frogs

are chased away?
