The Present

is brand name and user friendly
easy on the power too---

Holly’s all excited
on fire for most of the day
washin’ dishes her thing.

Loves to see them shine
after the kitchen sink soapin’
and sudsin’

then spick and spanned.

Oh the sadness after
all this fun
a time for radical thoughts

looks over the new dishwasher
top to bottom
dang machine’s going to take

away all her jollies.
