In Sderot
rockets are falling
and children will cry all night
their little feet cold
power shut off
allowing families to hide
like rats. They must learn
to behave
without movement
hearts contained
Levi’s Bar Mitzvah soon
forgotten and
dwell within darkness
they must
lessons learned well
at Auschwitz.
Yesterday Isaac was harmed
by a fiery ball bearing
pain for a ten year old boy
now crying out…
Why Isaac and Ishmael did
you not reconcile ancestor
days ago?
Why must the blood of your
Offspring continue to flow?
