is creating

silhouettes in

layers

of invitation-

 

sky’s afire

with promise

and decks  

stacked 

in lobster

pots - slatted

barriers

bait primed-

 

fishermen

anxious

lobsters

unaware

they’re

tenants to-be

in new housing.

 I LOVE  "layers of invitation" but also, how you shift meaning all through, like waves in a harbour, and end with the lobsters' point of view. It is a wonderfully satisfying poem seeming simple but with lots going on underneath (like a harbour, again) Really enjoyed!
