She’s on the upper

edge of age-hood

watching time in its

determined ways

creeping closer – all

so clear from

her favourite chair

on the back-porch.

 

It has found its way to her

stately home in the hills  

satiated within beautiful flowers  

as scent-shaped petals

of memory-

 

her loving family

now grown into many

directions-

 

she is proud of them

& savours their past adventures

until the end of her days.
