Sometimes Precious

His age beheld
a wonder of events, a
life of days

need a meal that voice said
at the doorway
back of the house

need some work done first
an honest response
re a small acreage near the edge of
Crown Land --

grass cut
windows washed
led him to a table
of home-made feast

days of sharing.
