assaulted our
windows
as we tried to view
an excellent Tv
program-
the rain now pelting
strongly &
pooling rapidly
on our front
parking lot-
the homeless
man’s
shelter soaked
cat and
dog joining a
similar condition.
and I am
thankfully dry
in my habitation.

There's no place like home, especially when there's a down pour and you're safe and dry inside.
I always feel lucky to have a roof over my head whatever the weather.
Inspiring poem Richard.

what we have
This is very very true Richard, and you don't know what you have untill you'v lost it. Your poem seems to be alive somehow. And I like the structure of your poems I think I'll give it a try myself!
