Windswept Serenade

The raucous wind

creates a shuffle of movement

as it spawns a parade 

of roiling clouds 

sun & this new intruder

clash for attention

on a fresh orange smell of

a sunny day

interested in displaying

their finer points-

one surely prepared to rain

magnificently &

the other to shine an

overpowering

sweep of rays that bring

a sweetness of tickling warmth

for earthly creatures below.

Neither of both natural

forces are prepared to overwhelm

the other and a declared truce

meant a slight dripping

of rain and slight peek of sun

held up - the agreed

upon truce not to attempt

any plan of dominance.

And so the day

passed rather smoothly.
