is a kaleidoscope of emotion
and bravado---accepts
the forest
smaller animals
and trees in-between
as his domain --
scents flowers in bloom.
At threats to his inheritance
muscles stiffen
hackles raise
side snarls
fearful of no one --
leader of the pack.
