Worth Living For

Do you hear whispers of movement

within my heart

or the beat of a drum yet alert  

swaying from many twists,

turning into events so long ago?

Can you hear the shouting

that took place as children discovered

life had plans for growing up

meant joy, pain through success

and came with a price?

Now only silence from my dream

where reality parallels fantasy  

as memories flit about

and the universe continues

on in fullness and spontaneity.
