Fate's End The Last Assignment

The cool gentle wind blows softly agaisnt the warmness of a busy city. It creates frigid chills on the back of everyone's necks. The chill that they feel on their neck is no match for the chill that eclipses the inside of people's hearts. The hair rises into the skin like secrets that lay still that will in time rise. As this cool breeze passes through this city the howling of the wind speaks this tale.

Here I am again standing in this madness alone insanity so deep it runs to my bones. Wondering the days will happiness come ever, but after every minute my heartstrings continue to sever. Staring across the skies wondering what of my demise my skin. my soul, and my world seem unclean. Staring at the blank walls in this place and seeing a world that has been erased.

There were restful dreams running free however now we are all trapped in restless nightmares. My mind feels shut down, my soul feels shattered, and all my thoughts are scattered. My lungs feel breathless as if they tasted deaths sweet kiss. Everything inside feeling lost thinking I've just spent my lifes cost. Every morning I wake up and everything seems unreal not knowing how much more I can take. Looking around with the sight of death constantly on the prowl.

So what is this tale that the wind speaks of? Where one wind blows another wind will blow to tell other tales. Together the winds will speak of tales that are supposed to be harmless myths, but the myths have transformed into a terrifying reality.

Alana Fatay sits on the couch missing her beloved Andros who is away on another assignment. She is watching the news where one year after the events of Fate's End the news is finally abuzz with what had happened. Apparently the plane that had crashed came from Columbus, Ohio where a small occurance had happened before the events of Fate's End. Isn't it funny how these things never make the news when they need to. She is content with the fact atleast Andros got his story out and his voice was heard. The Facility is the only thing that still remains in Fate's End the rest a ghost town doesn't even look like anything at all ever lived there. The thing they were searching for in pool when her Andros had arrived was apparently a case containing information about the next "stage" of Human Evolution. Since the years of Fate's End ten cases have been reported about the outraging of children overtaking the cities, but all of those incidents were quelled with ease. Alana turns off the T.V. curls up on the couch eventually falling asleep.

My name is Andros Fatay I am currently a paranormal investigator for the company E.T.E.R.N.A.L. my codename is Fate. I keep a voice recorder with me to record my assignments given to me. I am currently near the Artani Forest on the island of Arkinalee. I was assigned here because sailors, explores,and treasure seekers have filed reports of strange noises and unexplainable creatures seen near the coast. This very well maybe my last assignment however as I have seen things that scared me senseless and things haven't even begun yet.

I have just arrived on the island not to long ago something not of this world I have already seen. When we had landed and departed onto the beach it was only about two minutes into our adventure when we seen something in the water that somersaulted out of the water it looked as big as a whale had fins and teeth like a shark. Thinking how the heck did something that big jump that high then suddenly splash down ripping our boat into two, and sending the people on board into a watery grave. Soon after we had noticed smaller ones swimming up to the surviors eating them whole except for who was thrown into the air split in two showing intestines and other workings. Seeing enough I turned around to see who all survived. Seeing a sailor named Mattox a male around the age of 28, an explorer named Jenny a female around the age of 23, and my two fellow invistagators Midnight a male around the age of 30 also Twlight a female around the age of 25. We had decided to go into the woods to see if any of the buildings were still operational however unlikly since the island hasn't been civilized in some time.

The foliage and the vines in the forest where so thick we could barely get around, but luckily for us Jenny had a machete so she was leading the party slashing away as we advanced. Looking around noticing some Toucans and Macaws flying above when I had heard Mattox shout Jenny's name. Looking forward to the see the man leaning over a cliff. Volunteering to go down I began my descent. Reaching the bottom I noticed the lower half of Jenny's body sticking out of a bush. The upper half stuck to a boulder spilling blood everywhere. A rustle occured in the bushes as the body was pulled into the bushes. Climbing back up telling everyone that she was gone, and there is nothing we could do.

What the heck happened on this island? A question that keeps going through my mind like a plauging diasease we have seen so many animals that appeared altered out of this world. Rats with bat wings, ferrets acting like snakes, wolves who acted like rabbits.

We have been hearing a loud eerie howling noise for the past ten minutes we think something is following us as if smelling fresh meat. Hearing Mattox shout to everyone to watch out turning around to see a bear with the speed of a cheetah coming at us seeing Midnight unhook his .357 Magnum firing all six shots into the creature not even slowing it down. Me and Twilight unhooked our berettas all three of us firing at once to no avail. The creature lept up slicing Midnight's head into two sliding sideways exposing brain seeing the last blink of his left eye before he dropped. The creature turned around boring into his chest ripping out his heart starting to chew on it. The remaining of us fled while it feasted R.I.P. my freind.

We have come across some type of building the vines and foilage covering most of it so we couldn't find any markings on it. Going inside most of it was pitch black except where a little bit of sunshine was coming through the only window we could see. Mattox walked over to peer through the window to see the outside when a split second later a mutated spider lunged in grabbong Mattox then began to scurry up the building. I knew I couldn't save him so I said a prayer putting a bullet in his head. Pulling out our pin pocket flashlights me and Twilight began to venture further. Most of the building contained nothing none of the machines or computers worked because of no power. Underneath the desk of one of the computers slumped a dead body that had been there for quite sometime only bones remained. Noticing a paper in his pocket I reached out and grabbed it. The paper stated that there was a hidden passage in the second floor near the pictures of the four founders we found our way there and began to invistigate.

Finding the passage with the four founders oddly enough one of them was Edward Jankins a janitor for E.T.E.R.N.A.L., but why was it here and did it have anything to do with the wrongful things on this island? Tapping on the wall to listen for a difference in noise we eventually found a switch that opened the passage. A ladder lead down which was kinda weird but we descended it venturing further. Reaching the bottom lights were on so that must mean power must be on down here. Glancing to the right we seen a man dash down the hall. Following in pursuit stopping by a glass window room peering inside to see tanks, operation tables,and equipment that was stained with blood also with other matter. On one table was human that had its limbs cut off with various animal sewn on to where the limbs used to be. Thinking to myself once again what the heck. Twilight took point on the other side of the door stepping in I followed. Asking the man what the heck is going on here he simply replied you wouldn't understand evolution so there is no point in telling you. He reached behind his back pulling out a 9MM pistol. Twilight must have anticpated his actions as they both opened fire at the same time a bullet striking the man in the head blood trickling from the hole. Looking down to see Twilight shot in the chest seeing the blood soak through her shirt she tried to talk to but only spat up blood. Knowing it was fatal I said a prayer and stayed with her until she passed. Searching the room I found a map that had spoken of an underground ship docking bay so I followed it down there. The hanger was huge it could easily hold two tankers but I only found a small raft with a motor. Looking around I found some extra fuel then began to open the doors. Hopping onto the boat I started off into the unknown hoping that someone would come along, because I knew I wouldn't last long out here.

It has been a few days now and I was awoken by the sound of a ship. Opening my eyes to see a raft with four men coming my way helping me onto their raft eventually taking me to their ship. The Captain asked me what I was doing out here I simply replied shipwrecked, and I was the only survivor. He nodded said they were heading to Frostmore and they would drop me off there. Saying my thanks to we finally reached Frostmore where I stepped into a bar and was getting ready to have a drink when a man asked me what I was doing here when the bad winter seasons was weeks away and simply replied smiling vacationing.
