Lost at sea

Waves crashing over my head.

Saltwater filling my lungs, burning my nostrils.

I yell and I cry, all the while trying to float.

Attempting not to drown.

At least not for now.

How did I end up here?

It was sunny and warm just a few days ago.

There's a boat in the distance.
